Following the surprising critical and commercial success of BAD BOYS FOR LIFE, a lot of doors have opened for directors Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah, and one of those doors may just lead to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. While speaking with ComicBook.com, El Arbi and Fallah revealed that they've already met with Marvel Studios, who asked them what they wanted to work on in the MCU.
There’s nothing concrete. They just met us. They said they liked the movie and they just told us, ‘Yo, what do you wanna do? Let’s find something to work together on.’ So there’s nothing really planned yet, it was just like a meeting. But yeah, we’ll see if we find something cool. Now with Disney+ it has all evolved so much that there’s so much you can do. You can do a movie or you can do a TV show. And we’ve been so busy with Bad Boys that we’ve not explored everything yet. So what we’re going to do now, me and Bilall, is we’re going to check out all they got and we’d love to find something to work with them on, but it’s not yet clear what that would be.
As the director's themselves state, nothing is concrete or guarenteed at this point, but with the Marvel Cinematic Universe constantly expanding with new films and Disney+ shows, there's no shortage of potential projects Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah could take on. What MCU property would you like to see the action duo direct for Marvel Studios?
In addition to the possible Marvel project, Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah have also expressed their desire to helm BEVERLY HILLS COP 4 for Netflix, which will of course see Eddie Murphy reprising his role of Axel Foley. There's also a fourth installment of the BAD BOYS franchise in the works, but it hasn't been confirmed whether El Arbi and Fallah will return to the director's chair. Plenty of options for the up-and-coming directors.
BAD BOYS FOR LIFE is now playing in theaters, so be sure to check out a review from our own Matt Rooney.
