Exactly one month shy of its April 26th release, Marvel has unleashed a bevy of new character posters for one of the most anticipated films of the year, AVENGERS: ENDGAME. You might want to slip into something comfortable, folks, because it's going to take you a while to scroll through all of the gorgeous images below.
The follow-up film that everyone is foaming at the mouth to see, AVENGERS: ENDGAME, finds Tony Stark adrift in space with no food or water. In his desperation, Tony sends a touching distress message to Pepper Potts as his oxygen supply continues to deplete. Back home, those who are left of Earth's Mightiest Heroes – Thor, Black Widow, Captain America and Bruce Banner, among others – must find a way to undo the work of the Mad Titan, Thanos, who on the verge of defeat, snapped his fingers, thereby erasing half of the planet's population. Together, the Avengers, alongside their surviving compatriots, must devise a way to re-write reality itself.
Cleverly enough, the new prints feature MCU characters both fallen and otherwise, with the mood and colorization of each poster signifying each heroes Alive or "Snapped" status. Why don't you grab a drink, have the Hulk make you a sandwich, and we'll begin making our way through the list? Also, give yourself bonus points if you chuckled at that Hulk/sandwich remark. I've got you, readers of Kelly Sue Deconnick's Avengers Assemble. All comic book fans are welcome here. Let's do this!
There are two very interesting things worth noting about the above poster. For starters, Tessa Thompson's Valkrie will be in AVENGERS: ENDGAME! Second, Letitia Wright’s Wakandan wonder, Shuri, was evidently taken out off-screen as a result of Thanos' snap. It goes without saying that this last bit of news will rub some fans the wrong way, though I have a feeling that nearly all the characters that went poof as a result of Thanos' insane actions will be coming back to life before Endgame's credits start to roll. You can thank Sony as the reason for me feeling this way. After all, they just couldn't hold onto that SPIDER-MAN: FAR FROM HOME trailer, could they?
We made it, everybody! Congrats! AVENGERS: ENDGAME will open in theaters on April 26th.
