Anthony Daniels explains every C-3PO costume from the Star Wars franchise

Anthony Daniels has the rare honor of being the only actor to appear in every film in the STAR WARS franchise, and with the exception of SOLO: A STAR WARS STORY, all of those appearances were as C-3PO, the fussy protocol droid who went on to play a pivotal role in the battle between good and evil, whether he was aware of it or not. When we think of C-3PO, we instantly envision the golden-plated droid, and although C-3PO kept that look for the majority of his appearances, there are a number of differences, big and small, between each movie.

Anthony Daniels sat down with Wired to discuss every version of the C-3PO costume he wore throughout the movies, from the skeletal unfinished version in THE PHANTOM MENACE all the way to the character's final appearance in THE RISE OF SKYWALKER, which, as Daniels explains, was the first time that C-3PO's hands were actually jointed, allowing the actor to pick up props without resorting to cinematic tricks.
