Apocalypse (Oscar Isaac), the first and most powerful mutant from Marvel’s X-Men universe, awakens after thousands of years to find that he’s disillusioned with the world. Recruiting a team of powerful mutants, including a disheartened Magneto (Michael Fassbender), Apocalypse aims to cleanse mankind and create a new world order. As you can imagine, this doesn’t sit well with Prof. X and the gang, so they decide to step up to their most deadly foe yet. If you want a taste of what’s to come, the first trailer will hit tomorrow, but we have a nifty motion poster to tide you over in the meantime.
Despite enjoying Singer’s X-MEN flicks, the pictures we’ve all seen of Apocalypse have me more on the “worried” side. Still, I’m not going to write the picture off just yet, as I’m hoping the man will look a lot better in motion. After all, no one thought much of Quicksilver before he ended up stealing the show in X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST.
Check back here tomorrow for the new trailer for X-MEN: APOCALYPSE, which hits theaters on May 27, 2016.
