Mortal Kombat 11 officially releases “movie skins” based on the 1995 film!

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

So this is f*cking rad! It seems that the newest DLC released for the hugely successful fighting game MORTAL KOMBAT 11 are "Movie Skins" based on the original 1995 MORTAL KOMBAT film! Not only that, but actors Christopher Lambert, Linden Ashby, and Bridgette Wilson-Sampras are even providing their likenesses and voices to the game as well!

You can check out some gameplay footage in the embed at the top of the article (which is only viewable on YouTube proper at the moment), and Ed Boon officially announcing it on his Twitter account below:

Now, while obviously awesome, it is a bit disappointing that neither Robin Shou nor Talisa Soto are returning as Liu Kang or Kitana (especially since Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa also returned as villain Shang Tsung, including a movie accurate skin!) Hopefully they will be revealed in future skin packs. But this is all exciting nonetheless!

Meanwhile, the "Movie Skin" packs are available for purchase right now!

So what do you guys think? Fans of the original film? If so, how do you feel about them entering the canon of the games? Either way, sound off below!
