Moreau’s Burial

It’s not everyday that I get to read an email from a filmmaker that reminds me of myself, as I continue to make films and try to break into the industry. Today, French director Yann Moreau sent us, Arrow In The Head, an exclusive look at his film BURIAL OF THE RATS, loosely based on the Bram Stoker’s novel. The film may have been low budget, but from the trailer, it has that gritty, dark realism that I’ve been missing from cinema lately.

The film is about:
After his girlfriend disappeared mysteriously, Alex is wandering Tokyo desperately looking for clues about what happened to her. One day he receives an anonymous message telling her she was last seen near the dreaded Jukai forest, where few people ever return. With only this clue in hand and nowhere else to turn, he ventures into the dark woods in the slim hope of finding his girlfriend. But the horrors that lurk ahead is beyond anything he could have ever imagined. Will Alex find the truth before he loses his sanity?

Yann describes the film as being a dark tale with atmospheric survival, and I dig that. They are currently seeking distribution, and as soon as people get their hands on this film, I don’t think it will be long before we start hearing much more about it.
