Earlier today, we reported on Colin Farrell and Paula Patton being up for roles in director Duncan Jones' adaptation of WARCRAFT, the famed fantasy RPG game that has stolen years from the lives of teenagers and adults alike. Now, comes more casting possibilities, including the rough ensemble of Anson Mount (AMC's Hell on Wheels), Anton Yelchin (STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS), Travis Fimmel (History Channel's Vikings), and Paul Dano (fresh off this weekend's hit, PRISONERS).
Each of these actors has gone through some pretty harsh conditions and are primed to jump into a tough production like WARCRAFT, which will no doubt require a hell of a lot of physical prowess. In addition, this group is also a distinct one, as each actor has a certain "quality" about them, which makes them ready made to take on any variety of characters in the WARCRAFT universe, be it human or otherwise.
Nothing confirmed as of yet, but it's obvious the production is ramping up casting in anticipation of getting camera's rolling in January. Stay tuned for more details.
WARCRAFT is set to debut sometime in 2015.
Could one of these guys be playing Leroy Jenkins? One could only hope…
