We’ve already heard that actors Thomas Jane, Andre Braugher and Laurie Holden will be taking up temporary residence at their local grocer’s when Frank Darabont’s adaptation of THE MIST rolls into town, but now we’re hearing some other names who’ll be joining them in the condiments aisle.
In an interview with the comprehensive Stephen King site Lilja’s Library, Darabont reveals that other potential vicitms in his horror flick include Frances Sternhagen (MISERY), Sam Witwer (BATTLESTAR GALACTICA) and the delectable Alexa Davalos (CHRONICLES OF RIDDICK), plus Darabont regulars Jeffrey DeMunn (THE HITCHER), Brian Libby (THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION) and William Sadler, who coincidentally voiced the lead character in the 3-D audio version of THE MIST.
The story involves a mysterious monster-filled mist that descends on a small town, whose residents flee to a nearby supermarket, only to quickly find themselves at odds despite the looming threat outside. Darabont, inspired by the raw style of THE SHIELD (of which he filmed an episode), plans to blast through filming to keep things “in the moment”. He also discusses the possibility of working on King’s DARK TOWER series — read more HERE.
