Principal photography has officially begun on the horror film SICK FOR TOYS, which is being produced by our own James "JimmyO" Oster.
SICK FOR TOYS marks the feature directorial debut of actor David Del Rio, who will be working from a screenplay by Oster and Justin Xavier. The story:
Every year for Christmas, Emilia gets the same gift from her brother Edward. This year when she wants something more, the siblings will discover that even your favorite toys always tend to break. Sick For Toys is a nightmarish family holiday thriller, one that will twist and turn itself under your skin until its disturbingly creepy final act.
Oster and Xavier serve as producers alongside Israel Luna and Jon Paul Burkhart. As revealed when this project was first announced, Xavier and Burkhart will also be appearing in the film, playing the characters of Edward and Jason, respectively. David Gunning was also previously announced to be playing the role of Roy.
New additions to the cast since that initial report are Camille Montgomery (pictured above) as Emilia, and Paul T. Taylor. Soon to be seen as the new Pinhead in HELLRAISER: JUDGMENT, Taylor will be making a "very scary" cameo in SICK FOR TOYS.
A co-production of La Luna Films, Nine Ten Films, and Delco-Cut Productions, SICK FOR TOYS is being filmed just outside of Dallas, Texas. This project sounds quite intriguing to me, and I'm really looking forward to seeing what sort of holiday horrors this cast and crew have in store for us.
