Yesterday, the trailer for Marvel’s next Disney+ series, Moon Knight, was released online to announce that the show will begin airing on March 30th. Marvel Entertainment has since followed that up by posting a video that shows Moon Knight stars Oscar Isaac and Ethan Hawke watching and reacting to the trailer, and it’s a makes for an entertaining couple minutes. You can watch the Moon Knight trailer in the embed above, and the Isaac / Hawke reaction video is at the bottom of this article.

Moon Knight will consist of six episodes, four of which were directed by Mohamed Diab (Cairo 678), with the directing duo of Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead (Synchronic) directing the other two. The show has the following synopsis:

When Steven Grant, a mild-mannered gift-shop employee, becomes plagued with blackouts and memories of another life, he discovers he has dissociative identity disorder and shares a body with mercenary Marc Spector. As Steven/Marc’s enemies converge upon them, they must navigate their complex identities while thrust into a deadly mystery among the powerful gods of Egypt.

Isaac and Hawke are joined in the cast by Gaspard Ulliel and May Calamawy.

Jeremy Slater, creator of the The Exorcist TV series, headed up the writers room on this one. Isaac, Diab, and Slater executive produce alongside Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, and Brad Winderbaum. The Moon Knight character was created by writer Doug Moench and artist Don Perlin in the pages of the Marvel comic book Werewolf by Night, issue #32, back in 1975.

I’m hyped for Moon Knight, as I am for most Marvel projects, and it’s nice to see Isaac and Hawke have a blast with the show’s imagery in this trailer reaction video. I also appreciate that Hawke makes a humorous reference to Marlon Brando in The Island of Dr. Moreau along the way.
