I have some clear childhood memories of tuning in to The Movie Channel so I could watch the legendary Joe Bob Briggs host movies on his show Drive-In Theater. When that show ended, Joe Bob moved over to TNT for a multi-year run as the host of MonsterVision, and I regret that I didn't watch MonsterVision nearly enough, because in my youth I didn't realize that having more Joe Bob hosting segments could make up for the fact that the movies were edited for content and broken up by commercials. That was a dumb kid move. But someone who did watch MonsterVision regularly was Niki Minter, the host of our video series Horror TV Shows We Miss, and that's why MonsterVision is the subject of the new episode.
