Milla Jovovich’s Monster Hunter movie character being added to game

Monster Hunter, movie, Milla Jovovich

As much as I love a robust video game character creator there's nothing quite like having your likeness introduced in an official capacity. Just like when Dave Bautista was included in Gears 5 or Keanu Reeves as Johnny Siliverhand in CD Projekt Red's upcoming Cyberpunk 2077, MONSTER HUNTER star Milla Jovovich is about to see herself digitized and included in Monster Hunter World: Iceborne as a playable character.

Capcom has announced a new DLC update to the latest game in the franchise, Monster Hunter World, that will allow players to assume command of Jovovich's Captain Natalie Artemis. As you can see from the video posted below, Captain Natalie Artemis is a nimble warrior who uses her acrobatic skills and dual blades to slice and dice her way through the massive monsters found throughout the game. The DLC will be released as a two-part quest, with an update expected to arrive on December 4, day-and-date with the European release of Paul W.S. Anderson's MONSTER HUNTER.

Here's the official synopsis for MONSTER HUNTER:

Behind our world, there is another: a world of dangerous and powerful monsters that rule their domain with deadly ferocity. When Lt. Artemis (Milla Jovovich) and her elite unit are transported through a portal from our world to a new world, they are in for the shock of their lives. In her desperate attempt to get home, the brave lieutenant encounters a mysterious hunter (Tony Jaa), whose unique skills have allowed him to survive in this hostile land. Faced with relentless and terrifying attacks from the monsters, the warriors team up to fight back and find a way home.

Joining Jovovich and Tony Jaa for the upcoming besting of behemoths are Meagan Good (BRICK, D.E.B.S.), Tip 'T.I.' Harris (ANT-MAN AND THE WASP, AMERICAN GANGSTER), Diego Boneta (TERMINATOR: DARK FATE, ROCK OF AGES), Josh Helman (MAD MAX: FURY ROAD, X-MEN: APOCALYPSE), Jin Au-Yeung (2 FST 2 FURIOUS, THE MAN WITH THE IRON FISTS), and Ron Perlman (HELLBOY, SONS OF ANARCHY).

MONSTER HUNTER is expected to stomp into theaters on Christmas Day, December 25th.
