The first official trailer for the video game adaptation MONSTER HUNTER has been released and it features Milla Jovovich and her friends battling some pretty ferocious beasts.
We received our first look at the video-game-to-screen adaptation a little over a week ago and that teaser trailer not only revealed the MONSTER HUNTER cast, which also includes Tony Jaa, T.I., Meagan Good, Diego Boneta, Ron Perlman, and Jin Au-Yeung but also confirmed the movie’s release date had been pushed up from April 2021 to December 30, 2020. The full trailer offers up a further look at what we have already seen and shows that director and co-writer Paul W.S. Anderson hasn't lost his touch when it comes to bringing video game action to the big screen. Capcom’s Kaname Fujioka, who also worked on the original video game, also gets a writing credit on the film.
MONSTER HUNTER becomes the latest collaboration between husband and wife duo, Paul W.S. Anderson and Milla Jovovich. Following their run with the RESIDENT EVIL franchise, MONSTER HUNTER finds them bringing to life the Capcom game of the same name. According to the logline, "When Lt. Artemis and her loyal soldiers are transported to a new world, they engage in a desperate battle for survival against enormous enemies with incredible powers."
Did YOU like the first trailer for MONSTER HUNTER? The film hits screens on December 30, 2020.
