To celebrate 25 years of dinosaur-related destruction and mayhem, MONDO has plans to unleash JURASSIC PARK: THE CHAOS GENE, a brand-new board game featuring your favorite characters, locations, and prehistoric beasts from the legendary franchise. Featuring art from the talented Matthew Woodson, MONDO will be making the game available to fans online and in stores everywhere this Fall. For those of you who don't enjoy playing the Waiting Game, the box top will be on display at MONDO's booth at San Diego Comic-Con (#425), and attendees will have the opportunity to get a special JURASSIC PARK patch when visiting the booth. Collector's item, y'all!
Here are some details via the game's official press release:
JURASSIC PARK: THE CHAOS GENE is a 2 to 4 player asymmetrical miniatures board game, for age 14 and up. Choose your faction from the following: InGen, Park Visitors, Raptors or the T. rex. Find items needed for your faction, attack or avoid other dinosaurs, gain experience and customize your faction. With several scenarios and modular environment tiles for players to explore, each faction has unique objectives to complete in an effort to win the game!
If you'll be at San Diego Comic-Con be sure to drop by the MONDO booth – they'll be giving away Jurassic Park patches! These patches are free to Jurassic Park: The Chaos Gene newsletter subscribers. Sign up at thechaosgene.com.
A limited number of patches will be available at the Mondo Booth (#435), with a different faction being represented for each day:
Thursday: InGen Patch
Friday: Raptors Patch
Saturday: Visitors Patch
Sunday: T. Rex Patch
Would you look at those gorgeous figurines! It's obvious that MONDO spared no expense when making this game. Also, if this release turns out to be anywhere near as good as MONDO's THE THING: INFECTION AT OUTPOST 31, we're in for a real treat! Good luck hunting down the MONDO booth at SDCC, and be sure to pre-order your copy of the game lest you want to become dino food.
