Paul Walter Hauser wants in on a Kevin Smith film

Hear-ye! Hear-ye! The latest Kevin Smith social media posting has been unveiled! And this one involves the super talented actor, Paul Walter Hauser! Now, in case you haven't registered Mr. Hauser as a household name yet, allow me to educate you… after some memorable supporting roles in I, TONYA and BLACKKKLANSMAN, Paul Walter Hauser played the title character of Clint Eastwood's RICHARD JEWELL, which released this past December. Although, JEWELL was not a box-office diamond, trust me, Mr. Hauser was outstanding and if the film was a bigger hit, I believe the dude would have garnered an Oscar nom! 

But wait! Wasn't this article supposed to be about Kevin Smith, damn it?! Well, here's the connection. Mr. Hauser randomly tweeted his desire to act in a Smith flick. Was he joking? Who knows?! But Smith was quick to reply:

It IS true that Mr. Hauser is above Kevin Smith, but if the dude's game for some dick/fart jokes, I'm cool with that! And, OBVIOUSLY, Mr. Smith was quick to grant Hauser carte blanche in terms of any role. 

I'd like to end this article by saying that my initial introdution to Paul Walter Hauser was on the subliminally perfect KARATE KID spin-off series COBRA KAI. He plays Stingray, possibly the greatest sitcom side character in history!
