“A & E’s” resident emo-coiffed master illusionist Criss Angel will soon be taking his particular brand of “mindfreak” street magic to the big screen. Having gotten a taste of life in front of the camera beyond illusions that leaves one’s mind irreparably freaked with guest appearances on NBC’s “Las Vegas” and CBS’ “CSI”, he’s apparently ready to move on to full length features. In a recent interview with “Cinema Blend”, he relates: “I’ve just signed on to do a movie which I’ll be shooting at the end of this year called Mandrake. Which is based on the comic book strip. It’s gonna kind of be like a kind of cool realm of The Crow but different of Mandrake the magician coming to life. I’m designing and creating the visual effects for that, as well as going to be acting in it. So that’s a very exciting prospect that I’m looking forward to do.” A full-length feature dose of Criss Angel? Can any one mind handle being freaked in such a dangerously potent manner? For everyone’s sake, let’s hope so. Read the rest of the interview HERE.
