Like many of you out there, I have to say that the serial killer horror-drama HENRY: PORTRAIT OF A SERIAL KILLER is one of my favorite horror films of all-time. Well, favorite may be a strong word. But it is definitely on of the very BEST horror films ever made. It's intense as f*ck tone keeps it a "once every few years" watch for me. But holy hell if the movie isn't amazing, right?
Well, if you're like me and think the sun shines out of HENRY's arse, then you'll be pleased to hear that HENRY star Michael Rooker and director John McNaughton are teaming up on a new flick! The film is called A GOOD MAN IS HARD TO FIND and it is an adaptation of Flannery O’Connor’s short story of the same name. If you haven't read the book of short stories that contains this tale yet – not that I have – you can buy yourself a copy of it right HERE!
The best I could find as a synopsis for the story is this:
"A duel between The Grandmother and The Misfit."
Not sure what that means, but info on the project is scarce at this time. That said, we do know that screenwriter Benedict Fitzgerald will be penning the adaptation's script. Fitzgerald is known for writing the Mel Gibson's THE JESUS MOVIE (aka THE PASSION OF THE CHRIST).
We will be sure to gather all the info we can as the project progresses and let you guys know all about A GOOD MAN IS HARD TO FIND as soon as we do!
Until then make sure to hits us up and let us know how excited you are for this classic horror team reuniting once more! You can voice your opinion on our Facebook, Twitter, and/or Instagram!
