If you remember TEEN WOLF then you can remember Fox’s portrayal of a high school kid who finds out he’s a werewolf. Classic stuff man. So far the final word from MTV’s (The music television channel without any music) TEEN WOLF show was Ammon Gilbert talking about a 12 episode deal. I don’t blame you if you’ve forgotten that or if you just don’t care.
But would you care if I told you Michael J. Fox was considering a role in the show?
Moviehole reports that the Marty McFly himself is being asked to partake in the new after school teen special. Will he make a cameo? Will he be a completely different teacher? Who the hell knows. Fox, were told, is being courted by MTV to appear as a recurring character in the TV spin-off of “Teen Wolf”, based, of course, on the hit movie starring the then-young Canuck. The show, said to be a darker, more “Buffy”-esque take on the 1985 film, stars Tyler Posey as the shy wannabe-jock Scott (the character played by Fox in the flick) and Dylan O’Brien as the overeager Stiles.
Aside from that piece of news Moviehole also reports that MTV is not looking to keep the shaggy look on the new werewolf designs (gasp!). I’m pretty sure that after viewers watch a bit of Snooki (What the f*ck is a Snook?) they’re not up for the 80’s hairiness that was TEEN WOLF. Here’s a few words that was shared from scribe Jeff Davis (E! Online) regarding the change in designs. “It’s a teen horror show,” he tells the site. “It’s going to be scary, funny and hopefully sexy.”
“We told our makeup artist that we don’t want so much a furry creature,” director Russell Mulcahy (“Highlander”) says. “We want a werewolf you could kiss. Ours don’t turn into dogs.” Davis adds, “We usually say the others have werewolves you can pet—we have ones you can kiss.”
A werewolf with a kissy face. Hmm, the last time someone tried that role we ended up with…
Strike down below with your comments on his possible return. You like what they’re talking about or have you moved on completely?
