Michael Fassbender leaps into action in new Assassin’s Creed trailer

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

How many of you have all of your faith and mental stability relying on ASSASSIN’S CREED? One, two—get those hands up—three, four, okay so a few of you. So yeah, there are people who are expecting a lot from this game-to-film adaptation, as they should. With a leading man like Michael Fassbender heading up the cast, and the talented director Justin Kurzel at the helm there’s no reason for this movie to not at least be okay, which for this genre would be considered a triumph. With that in mind a new trailer has dropped, and any one of you who raised your hands can keep them up for our impromptu dance party, because the game done look like it’s been changed.

I will say not a word more! See for yourself below!

The trailer shows off the movie's visual treats, proves the film will have edge and style to spare, and offers a glimpse into the world a plethora of fans have been in love with for the last 10 or so years.  As I said there’s a lot riding on this film to be great. With the critical and domestic box office failure of WARCRAFT, an ASSASSIN’S bomb could mean a halt on future adaptations, like the UNCHARTED, THE LAST OF US, TOMB RAIDER and GEARS OF WAR projects. If done right it could usher in a renaissance of great game-to-film adaptations. We deserve that much. You know how much I've sacrificed?! Not much, but still, the proceedings needed a dramatic kick.

ASSASSIN’S CREED dives into theaters December 21 with Michael Fassbender, Marion Cotillard, Brendan Gleeson and Jeremy Irons.
