Michael Bay rings in the 4th of July the only way he knows how

TRANSFORMERS: THE LAST KNIGHT, the fifth film in the franchise, is currently in production. That means cast and crew didn't get an extended holiday weekend to relax, drink some beers and consume an ungodly amount of meat, all in the name of celebrating America's independence. 

But don't worry… They were with Michael Bay, so they kinda did us one better. They rang in the 4th of July with a guy who celebrates the birthday of the United States the only way he knows how – by blowing shit up.

Bay took to his Instagram yesterday to wish everyone a Happy Fourth, and he did it complete with fireballs and flames and gunfire and wrecked buildings and… well, you get the point. 

We really should have known this was coming, too. I mean, would you expect to see a leopard with no spots? Of course not. That's not who that animal is. A zebra with no stripes? Don't be ridiculous. So don't anticipate seeing a big-budget Michael Bay flick that doesn't feature explosions. I'm surprised he doesn't have a pyrotechnic expert at his disposal to light up the sky around his house, just when he steps out of the shower, or finishes dinner, or gets a good workout in. Maybe he does. All I'm saying is that Michael Bay setting off explosions on the 4th of July for another TRANSFORMERS sequel. You might not get more American than that.
