When most people think of Tom Clancy, they likely think of Jack Ryan, the author's most famous character who has been the subject of multiple feature-films and a TV series, but it's time for another character to shine – John Clark. Described as Jack Ryan's dark side, Clark is a CIA operative who isn't afraid to get his hands dirty and he's finally about to get his due on the big-screen with his very own film.
Adapted from the Tom Clancy novel of the same-name, WITHOUT REMORSE stars Michael B. Jordan (BLACK PANTHER) as John Clark, and the actor has shared the first look at the upcoming film on Instagram.
Directed by Stefano Sollima (SICARIO: DAY OF THE SOLDADO) and written by Taylor Sheridan (WIND RIVER), the upcoming film will serve as something of an origin story for how John Clark came to work for the CIA. As a Navy SEAL, Clark goes on the path to avenge his wife's murder only to find himself inside a larger conspiracy. In addition to Jordan, WITHOUT REMORSE also stars Jamie Bell (ROCKETMAN), Jodie Turner-Scott (Nightflyers), Brett Gelman (Stranger Things) Jack Kesy (DEADPOOL 2), Cam Gigandet (TWILIGHT), Luke Mitchell (Blindspot), and Jacob Scipio (As the Bell Rings), and Todd Lasance (Spartacus). Paramount Pictures is also developing RAINBOW SIX, which is expected to serve as a follow-up to WITHOUT REMORSE, but I would imagine that would hinge on how well WITHOUT REMORSE does.
WITHOUT REMORSE is slated for a September 18, 2020 release.
