Messengers poster!

I’m rooting for the success of the upcoming horror/thriller THE MESSENGERS for one reason: Smilin’ Jack Ruby. If you’ve been around these interwebs before the days of MySpace and YouTube, you probably know the name as one of the pioneers of movie fansites writing for Ain’t It Cool, Coming Attractions and CHUD. He’s also one of the first who has been successful in translating his love of movies to getting a feature script made by one of the major studios. MESSENGERS (formerly SCARECROW) is a horror tale about strange goings-on on a sunflower farm. Thai directors Danny and Oxide Pang (THE EYE) are making their US language debut with the film, which opens next year. Below is a first look at the poster for the film. I really dig the visuals in the poster but that tagline… ugh. Definitely coulda done without that. Check it out below.
