We've seen a couple of images from Paul McGuigan's (PUSH, LUCKY NUMBER SLEVIN) VICTOR FRANKENSTEIN, and now the first trailers have been released for the upcoming movie. James McAvoy and Daniel Radcliffe play (respectively) the titular scientist and his assistant Igor, and the film also stars Jessica Brown Findlay (Downton Abbey, WINTER'S TALE), Daniel Mays (THE ADVENTURES OF TINTIN: THE SECRET OF THE UNICORN), BBC Sherlock's Andrew Scott, Mark Gatiss and Louise Brealey.
"You toy with wrathful forces.”
Synopsis:
Told from Igor's perspective, we see the troubled young assistant's dark origins, his redemptive friendship with the young medical student Viktor Von Frankenstein, and become eyewitnesses to the emergence of how Frankenstein became the man – and the legend – we know today.
Out of the two, the U.K. trailer is the better one, but to be honest, neither is really doing much for me. While I may not have high expectations for the movie, I still think it could be a fun ride, especially since the script was written by CHRONICLE and AMERICAN ULTRA scribe Max Landis. Are planning on seeing VICTOR FRANKENSTEIN when it is released later this year?
VICTOR FRANKENSTEIN is set to open on November 25, 2015.
