The last new we brought you guys regarding Max Landis' upcoming remake of his father, John Landis' horror-comedy classic AN AMERICAN WEREWOLF IN LONDON was to let you know that Papa Landis doesn't think his son should remake the film. Ouch.
But little Landis doesn't seem to be worried about what his father thinks (good for him) and is pushing ahead with his AMERICAN WEREWOLF remake.
Recently, Max Landis talked to Fandom at the NYCC and was asked if he planned to feature cameos from the original cast in the remake and here is how the screenwriter Landis responded.
Max Landis on AMERICAN WEREWOLF cameos:
Griffin Dunne… what about Jenny Agutter? Come on, Jenny’s killing it right now. She was in Captain America: The Winter Soldier. It made me so excited! Yeah, there’s cameos from ideally literally everyone.
He adds:
There’s no guarantee that movie will exist but I’m very excited about it. I’m not here to remake American Werewolf in London into something it isn’t, I want to do everything from the original movie modern, and that’s it. I mean, not Gus Van Sant’s Psycho. There will be my stuff in there, but if it exists I hope it’s good. I’m going to do my best to make it great.
Nice! I'd love to see Griffin Dunne and Jenny Agutter have cameos in the remake. I mean, if we have to get a remake at all, that is. What do you think? Let us know in the comments below or on social media.
