The female-led OCEAN'S 11 spin-off has been filming in New York with Cate Blanchett and Sandra Bullock in the lead roles (as you can see above), but if you're worried that none of the original gang might show up, the following news may excite you. In speaking with Entertainment Tonight, Matt Damon confirmed that he WILL be playing a role in the film. Granted, it's probably not going to be a very large role, but that does give hope that some of the other players, like Clooney and Pitt, may show up as well. Take a look!
Matt Damon on OCEAN'S EIGHT:
I'm doing a little bit in the movie. I haven't read it yet, but the cast is phenomenal and I'm excited to see what those women do with it. It's going to be fun.
The cast, including Blanchett, Bullock, Elizabeth Banks, Helena Bonham Carter, and Mindy Kaling, is actually pretty damn cool. If you ask me, they should've just incorporated these actresses into OCEAN'S movies from the start instead of doing a complete spin-off, but that's just my two cents. Either way, I'm certainly interested to see what a first trailer will yield.
OCEAN'S EIGHT is scheduled to hit theaters on June 8, 2018.
