In the wake of the success of THE BOURNE IDENTITY, many flicks attempted to emulate the kinetic action sequences found throughout the Doug Liman movie, including the dreaded "shaky-cam", but it seemed that the BOURNE franchise was one of the few which was able to use the technique successfully. Part of the reason for that success was Matt Damon's commitment to the role and the rigorous training he underwent for each film. Paul Greengrass' recent JASON BOURNE was no exception and fight coordinator Roger Yuan worked with Damon in order to properly sell each and every hard-hitting blow. We've got an exclusive behind-the-scenes clip from the upcoming Blu-ray/DVD release of JASON BOURNE to share which explores Damon's intense physical training for the hand-to-hand combat scenes in the movie.
A synopsis for JASON BOURNE:
It's been 10 years since Jason Bourne (Matt Damon) walked away from the agency that trained him to become a deadly weapon. Hoping to draw him out of the shadows, CIA director Robert Dewey assigns hacker and counterinsurgency expert Heather Lee to find him. Lee suspects that former operative Nicky Parsons is also looking for him. As she begins tracking the duo, Bourne finds himself back in action battling a sinister network that utilizes terror and technology to maintain unchecked power.
JASON BOURNE will be released on both Blu-ray and DVD on December 6th, so make sure to follow those links if you'd like to pick up a copy for yourself!
