Principal photography for THE MATRIX 4 is officially in full-swing in San Francisco, and thus we've come upon a new batch of videos from the production that show original Matrix trilogy characters Neo (Keanu Reeves) and Trinity (Carrie-Anne Moss) cruising through a bustling metropolis.
More specifically, the new videos feature Reeves and Moss riding atop a motorcycle, the two-wheeled transport cutting through a gathering of fog as they make their way through the streets. As the vehicle corners around crosswalks, you can hear the shouts of onlookers cheering the reunion of the two iconic characters.
Here's a collection of behind-the-scenes videos that've been posted to the Keanu Planet Twitter account:
Additionally, a series of videos that were posted over the weekend show the death-defying process behind an elaborate wire stunt from the film. Much like when Neo took his first leap of faith in the original Matrix, the videos depict two people jumping from the roof of an intimidatingly-tall building. As your attorney I must advice that if you suffer from acrophobia, you might want to hold your breath as you experience the videos posted below:
Once THE MATRIX 4 wraps its San Francisco filming schedule, the production will head toward Chicago and Germany for the remainder of the shoot.
Directed by Lana Wachowski, THE MATRIX 4 will continue the story told in 2003's THE MATRIX: REVOLUTIONS, in which the Matrix appeared to be rebooted during the film's exciting finale. Returning to the franchise for another trip down the information rabbit hole are Keanu Reeves, Carrie-Anne Moss, and Jada Pinkett-Smith, with newcomers Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Neil Patrick Harris, Jessica Henwick, Priyanka Chopra and Jonathan Groff also joining the cast.
THE MATRIX 4 is set to arrive in theaters May 21, 2021.
