The first five episodes of the Netflix animated series Masters of the Universe: Revelation will be released on the streaming service tomorrow, July 23rd – which means they'll be available to watch tonight at midnight Pacific time! In anticipation of the show's premiere, the folks at IGN shared a clip from an aquatic action sequence and you can see that right here:

Showrunner Kevin Smith clarified that this clip is from episode 3, which was written by his Fatman Beyond podcast co-host Marc Bernardin.
Serving as a direct follow-up to the He-Man and the Masters of the Universe series from the '80s, Masters of the Universe: Revelation has the following synopsis:
The war for Eternia culminates in MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE: REVELATION, an innovative and action-packed animated series that picks up where the iconic characters left off decades ago. After a cataclysmic battle between He-Man and Skeletor, Eternia is fractured and the Guardians of Grayskull are scattered. And after decades of secrets tore them apart, it’s up to Teela to reunite the broken band of heroes, and solve the mystery of the missing Sword of Power in a race against time to restore Eternia and prevent the end of the universe.
The voice cast includes Chris Wood as Prince Adam/He-Man, Mark Hamill as Skeletor, Lena Headey as Evil-Lyn, Sarah Michelle Gellar as Teela, Liam Cunningham as Man-At-Arms, Griffin Newman as Orko, Stephen Root as Cringer, Henry Rollins as Tri-Klops, Tony Todd as Scare Glow, Justin Long as Roboto, Jason Mewes as Stinkor, Phil LaMarr as He-Ro, Alicia Silverstone as Queen Marlena, Diedrich Bader as King Randor/Trap Jaw, Tiffany Smith as Andra, Susan Eisenberg as Sorceress, Cree Summer as Priestess, Kevin Michael Richardson as Beast Man, Kevin Conroy as Mer-Man, Harley Quinn Smith as Ileena, and original Skeletor Alan Oppenheimer as Moss Man.
This season of Revelation consists of ten episodes, and Smith has said:
In honor of the era in which @MastersOfficial began, each of the 5 eps in Part 1 of our series homages a different '80s flick!
Ep 1 – Superman II (80)
Ep 2 – Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (84)
Ep 3 – Batman (89)
Ep 4 – Hellraiser (87)
Ep 5 – Masters of the Universe (87)
JoBlo's own Alex Maidy had the chance to watch the first batch of episodes already and gave them a 9/10 review that you can read at THIS LINK.
