The first lore-shuffling trailer for Marvel Studios’ What If…? has been released and wants to take you on a journey into the unknown. The series takes timeless Marvel characters and reimagines them for new stories that embrace the impossible and ask the important question: What happens when the Multiverse explodes, thereby changing significant events throughout the Marvel Universe forever?

The trailer features many of your favorite characters in all-new adventures, from Peggy Carter to T’Challah, Doctor Strange, Killmonger, Thor, and more! Plus, each character has been wildly reimagined for this animated anthology directed by Bryan Andrews, with AC Bradley as head writer. The series features voice appearances from many of your favorite Marvel stars, including Hayley Atwell, Karen Gillan, Chris Hemsworth, Samuel L. Jackson, Jeff Goldblum, Michael Douglas, Frank Grillo, Josh Brolin, and Tom Hiddleston, in addition to several others.

As a major fan of Marvel Comics, this series looks like a comic fan’s dream come true. Who doesn’t want to see Peggy return to the fold as the unstoppable Captain Carter or Killmonger teaming with Tony Stark to change the course of Marvel history? There also looks to be some intense Marvel Zombies action, as well as character cameos that will have some of the unsung heroes of the Marvel brand joining the action.

Journey into the mystery of Marvel Studios’ What If…? series beginning on August 11, exclusively on Disney+.
