This is it, folks, the big one! In the wake of several actors being added to Marvel and ABC's INHUMANS television series, including: HELL ON WHEELS actor Anson Mount as the silent king, Black Bolt, Serinda Swan as the sentient-haired queen Medusa, and Ken Leung as the royal strategist Karnak, the royal family roster is now complete after a whole swarm of actors have been confirmed for various roles pertaining to the upcoming Marvel series.
Here are the characters and actors that are now set to appear in this bold, new venture for Marvel's royal family who made their first appearance and gained their popularity in the pages of Stan Lee and Jack Kirby's Fantastic Four:
Crystal (Isabelle Cornish): Crystal is Medusa’s sister and the youngest member of the royal family who has the ability to control the elements. Impetuous and independent she is also deeply devoted to her family.
Gorgon (Erne Ikwuakor): Gorgon is the cousin of Black Bolt and a member of the royal family who is the leader of Attilan’s military. With super strong legs, complete with hooves, he can generate destructive seismic waves with a single stomp. The ying to his cousin Karnak’s yang, Gorgon would rather fight than talk to solve his problems.
Triton (MIke Moh): Triton is Black Bolt’s cousin who is calm under pressure and supremely athletic. His gift is his fish — like the ability to live underwater.
Auran ( Sonya Balmores): Auran is head of the Royal Guards on Attilan, a capable and no-nonsense woman. She is fiercely loyal to the King of Attilan.
Ellen Woglom’s character (her name has not been revealed at the present time) is said to be smart, intense ,and focused — so focused that oftentimes social skills take a back seat. Her job at a private aerospace company is her life, second only to her passion for all things space and lunar. She’s primed to be swept up in an adventure.
Lockjaw as Crystal’s 2,000-pound canine companion. The sizable pooch has the ability to teleport and be awesome at all times.
Lockjaw will most likely be a CGI character, unless he's not. We'll just have to wait and see, I suppose.
Look! Did you see it? My Lockjaw confirmation has come in! Now I'm ready for this. I was excited to hear of the Anson and Swan casting, but Lockjaw, that's the cherry on top of this potentially very delicious sundae that Marvel is serving up to fans like me. Additionally, I'm really excited to hear that Crystal will be a part of this show as well. I mean, it was to be expected, but seeing it in print is giving me the good vibes, you know?
So what do you Schmoes think? Are you pumped to see what the INHUMANS have to offer the Marvel Universe? Does the idea of an over-sized, teleporting dog excite you? It had better, or I'll come to your house JAY AND SILENT BOB STRIKE BACK-style and read you some of his best moments until you're convinced.
Marvel's INHUMANS will debut in 1,000 IMAX theaters during Labor Day weekend this year, and will then come to ABC in the fall.
