I really want to check out director Sergio G. Sanchez's new supernatural thriller MARROWBONE. Not only does it star Anya Taylor-Joy (THE WITCH), Charlie Heaton (STRANGER THINGS) and Mia Goth (A CURE FOR WELLNESS) but it comes to us via the producers of PAN'S LABYRINTH. That's some pedigree right there!
If you missed the film in theaters, then today we have word that it will be hitting 4K Blu-ray, Blu-ray, DVD and Digital this August. You can check out a list of special features below, but the studio wants us to point out that they may be subject to change before the film's release August 7th. Below is also the film's Blu-ray cover art, which looks like a 90's slasher film…
Special Features:
Deleted Scenes
Behind The Scenes
Visual Effects Reel
The movie is produced by Belén Atienza, Álvaro Augustin, and Ghislain Barrois from a script written by Sanchez, which follows:
Four siblings who move to America with their mother to escape a troubled past. When she dies, they vow to stay together, no matter what. But when a ghostly presence torments what’s left of their family, and a lawyer threatens their pact, the four must stand together or be torn apart forever in this chilling thriller.
Again, I'm looking forward to snagging this film on Blu-ray as soon as it hits. I couldn't really care less if the special features change or not, I'm there for the film. And from what I've heard, it might not be the scariest flick on the block, but it holds up as a top-notch drama with ghosts creeping around. Sounds good to me.
Again, the film is set to hit 4K Blu-ray, Blu-ray, DVD, and Digital on August 7th.
