Earlier this year Mark Ruffalo teased Bruce Banner will get to do "great stuff" in AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON, and Marvel Studios' Kevin Feige has also said the Hulk will have a bigger part in the upcoming film. In an interview with Total Film, Mark Ruffalo talked some more about his expanded Hulk role, and he says it will be more complex than it was in the first film.
[My role's] even bigger than last time, and it's more complex and it has more layers and a bit more arc.
Last month we learned Mark Ruffalo is working with Andy Serkis to perfect the Hulk, which might be one of the reasons why Ruffalo says he has fully embraced motion-capture technology.
I'm really tripping on the technology of this motion-capture stuff… now I just completely embrace it and see it as this other exciting place we can go as performers.
The question is why will the Hulk's role in AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON be more complex? Maybe it has something to do with previously released concept art below. Mark Ruffalo's Hulk was one of the best things about THE AVENGERS, and I can't wait to see how he'll be used in the sequel.
AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON will open on May 1, 2015.
