Word has come in that both Albus Dumbledore and Gandalf the Gray are in the midst of filing a joint lawsuit against Mark Hamill's Talus of the History Channel's drama series KNIGHTFALL. In what we know so far, both wizards are claiming likeness infringement against the STAR WARS actor, on account of his looking like a combination of the two sorcerers for KNIGHTFALLS upcoming season. I'm joking of course, but damn, right?
Today, a new photo for the upcoming second season of History's KNIGHTFALL has been unveiled, which features Hamill sporting a long gray beard, a whitened mop of tangled locks, and enough battle scars to give THE WITCHER's Geralt a run for his coin. As I was saying before, Hamill's character's name is Talus, a “battle-hardened Knight Templar veteran of the Crusades, who survived captivity for ten years in the Holy Land and is tasked with training the new initiates to the Order.”
The show stars Tom Cullen (pictured with Hamill) as “the courageous and headstrong Templar Knight, Landry, who last season we left grief-stricken but hopeful, season two will explore this dark time in history from the Templar perspective, embracing an authentically grittier, darker, and more brutal Medieval period than has ever been seen before.”
When KNIGHTFALL returns, the show will continue to explore the inner workings, drama and warfare of the Knights Templar, a mysterious military order that demanded order and faith during the Middle Ages. You won't find any lightsabers here, kids, though I'm sure Hamill will perform some nasty tricks with a cudgel or sharpened short sword. Here's hoping that the local blacksmith is worth his salt.
Season 2 of KNIGHTFALL is expected to wage war on History in 2019.
