If you're not on-board with transforming all those beloved animated characters of yesteryear into live-action features, you'd best avoid the theater for the next decade. One of the many, and boy do I mean many, upcoming properties getting the live-action spin is Beatrix Potter's "Peter Rabbit". The character appeared in many of Potter's stories and Sony Pictures Animation seems keen on making the character the center of a new family-friendly movie.

The live-action/animated hybrid is being described as a "modern interpretation of Potter’s works centering on the rivalry between mischievous young hopper Peter Rabbit and Mr. McGregor, a man trying to keep a rabbit-free garden." Already on-board the project are James Corden, Rose Byrne, Domhnall Gleeson, Daisy Ridley and Elizabeth Debicki, and now THR reports that Margot Robbie is in final negotiations to join up as well. As for which character Robbie will play in PETER RABBIT, details are being kept buried for the time being but it seems that she won't be appearing in the flesh as THR claims she will be voicing a bunny instead. James Corden will be voicing Peter Rabbit himself, with Domhnall Gleeson playing Mr. McGregor.

Margot Robbie has had quite the busy 2016 as she's appeared in SUICIDE SQUAD, WHISKEY TANGO FOXTROT and THE LEGEND OF TARZAN. Next year she will appear alongside Simon Pegg in TERMINAL as a mysterious waitress who leads a dangerous double life as well as GOODBYE CHRISTOPER ROBIN, a Simon Curtis film which tells the story of A.A. Milne (Domhnall Gleeson), the man who created Winnie the Pooh.
