Maniac Cop 3 (1993) – The Black Sheep

Last Updated on September 21, 2021

Maniac Cop 3 (WATCH IT HEREOWN IT HERE) was kind of a mess behind the scenes but still had plenty of heart and included many of the same key ingredients that made the first two so special. Being the worst of a small series certainly doesn’t make you a bad horror film, and Maniac Cop 3 is the perfect way to send off one of the lesser talked about slasher killers of the era. While it gets a bit silly at times, it’s no more out there than genre heavyweights Jason and Michael Myers got. You have the right to remain silent and finish the Larry Cohen and William Lustig series with some dumb fun!

Directed by William Lustig yet credited to Alan Smithee, Maniac Cop 3 stars Robert Z’Dar, Jackie Earle Haley, Robert Davi, Robert Forster, Caitlin Dulany, and has the following synopsis:

A female cop is gunned down and wrongly accused of using excessive force in a hostage rescue attempt. Maniac cop returns from the dead once more to seek revenge, destroying everything and anyone that stands in his way.
