Malaysian Zom-Com!

The guys over at
24 Frames per
second
have once again proved that they are some of the best at what
they do; and what they do is find us all sweet ass foreign horror!

With that in mind, they recently
reported on a zombie-comedy coming out of Malaysia called ZOMBI KAMPANG
PISANG
and it looks so f**king awesome!

ZOMBI KAMPANG PISANG
shows the peace in  Kampang
Pisang (Banana Village) as it is shattered one night with the sudden death of
Pak Abu. In the confusion that follows, more villagers turn up dead, puzzling
and alarming the villagers even more. Upon investigation, the source of the
problem seemed to be Pak Menawer’s restaurant, where anyone who ate at the
restaurant during the day would turn up dead. Chaos ensues as no one wants to
admit that they’ve been to the shop and the situation worsens with the dead
coming back to life in the form of zombies. Locating Pak Menawer is proving to
be fruitless and fighting off the zombies is proving to be a chore… and the
night is still young! What is to become of Kampung Pisang now? Will local hero
Usin be able to save his village and win the heart of Maimon?

24 Frames
not only dug up this sweet behind the scenes

gallery
, but they also located a trailer on
YouTube that can be seen below. And while I’m sure it’ll be a while before I get
a chance to see this flick filled with Malaysian zombies (whose makeup reminds
me of Ewoks from ROTJ!) it does open on April 19th somewhere.

So peep the cool looking trailer
below and check out more stills over at the gallery

here
