Writer/director Veena Sud's twelve-part thriller series The Stranger has been playing out on the Quibi streaming service since April 13th, with a new episode (or chapter) being posted every weekday. Today we've gotten our hands on a one minute clip from the chapter that's going live on Quibi today, and this clip can be seen above.
Maika Monroe stars in The Stranger as
an unassuming young rideshare driver who is thrown into her worst nightmare when a mysterious Hollywood Hills passenger enters her car. Her terrifying ride with the stranger unfolds over 12 hours as she navigates the seedy underbelly of Los Angeles in a chilling game of cat and mouse.
Dane DeHaan plays "the stranger" himself, and Avan Jogia plays a gas station clerk who gets caught up in the situation.
Quibi gets its name from the fact that it will offer "quick bites" of entertainment. Intended to be watched on your smart phone while you're on the go, episodes of Quibi shows will be in the range of 10 minutes or less.
