One thing I really dig about Netflix is how the streaming giant has gotten into producing original content for its service and, as an admitted Netflix junkie, I watch all of them as they have proven to be as good as (and oftentimes better than) most other programs on basic cable. I'm talking shows like "House of Cards", "Arrested Development", my recent fave "Derek" starring Ricky Gervais, "Orange is the New Black" and "Hemlock Grove". As the best damn horror site on the net we covered "Hemlock Grove" frequently, and it was a show that split the AITH family – I absolutely dug it while some of my brothers-in-blood found it to be a bit tedious. I was stoked to learn that Netflix had ordered up a second season of "Hemlock Grove" and today we have some interesting casting news to share with ya.
Deadline is reporting that "Orange is the New Black" actress Madeline Brewer has signed on for "Hemlock Grove's" second season, set to portray 'a graphic novelist who visits the titular community'. Brewer memorably portrayed Tricia in the first season of the Netflix Original Series "Orange is the New Black", so to hear she is jumping into another Netflix-produced series is exciting news indeed.
No word yet as to when we can expect to see the second season of "Hemlock Grove", but we'll keep you posted on news regarding the show as we hear it. The series stars Famke Janssen, Bill Skarsgård, Landon Liboiro, Freya Tingley, and Dougray Scott.
