With only three months to go we should really start to see promotion for DOCTOR STRANGE liven up, as more footage and images start pouring out of the seams. And, of course, why not start that ball rolling than by putting out a new trailer during the summer Olympics—a time slot that only exists once every four years.
I don't like to say much about footage, but here I will say there's not a whole lot of new footage, acting more like a shortened version of the second trailer released around the time of Comic-Con last month..
But take a look for yourself!
I wasn’t sure about this movie to begin with, mostly because of director Scott Derrickson. I’m a huge fan of SINISTER, but other than that the man hasn’t really blown me away, and I thought him a weird choice to helm such a unique film. But I said the same thing about James Gunn and GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY, but I have yet to remove the foot from my mouth on that one. Now, with this film, I think we are going to see something the likes which we haven’t before in the MCU: something magical. We’ve had wondrous and thrilling, but never something truly out-of-this-dimension in the literal sense, and with every new piece of footage DOCTOR STRANGE looks like it will break that mold.
DOCTOR STRANGE enters our realm November 4 with Benedict Cumberbatch, Rachel McAdams, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Tilda Swinton, Mads Mikkelsen and more.
