Mad Max: Fury Road promises lots of explosions in new teaser

We recently learned that George Miller's upcoming MAD MAX: FURY ROAD, which is barrelling down the strip towards its May 15 release date, was hit with an R-rating by the MPAA for "For intense sequences of violence throughout, and for disturbing images", which was news that got our motor revving! There's no doubt we can expect a ton of incredible action sequences, and the latest teaser gives us a peek at some of the explosive action we will see onscreen in May.

Titled "Explosions", this latest peek at the Tom Hardy-starring flick gives us another great look at Max himself, highlighted by some of the over-the-top action sequences we've gotten a look at before in earlier trailers. It's short, but we'll take anything we can get regarding this one.

Official synopsis:

Haunted by his turbulent past, Mad Max believes the best way to survive is to wander alone. Nevertheless, he becomes swept up with a group fleeing across the Wasteland in a War Rig driven by an elite Imperator, Furiosa. They are escaping a Citadel tyrannized by the Immortan Joe, from whom something irreplaceable has been taken. Enraged, the Warlord marshals all his gangs and pursues the rebels ruthlessly in the high-octane Road War that follows.

MAD MAX: FURY ROAD stars Tom Hardy, Charlize Theron, Hugh Keays-Byrne, Zoë Kravitz, Riley Keough, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Abbey Lee, Courtney Eaton and Nicholas Hoult. It opens May 15, 2015. It will own us all.
