SyFy is developing a pilot for a new supernatural drama series called The Haunted, which I certainly wouldn't be quite as intrigued by if Channel Zero hadn't knocked things out of the park. But now we're living in a new era of SyFy where we actually have to pay attention to what they're doing.
The show has now cast its first two leads, newcomer Elizabeth Cappuccino (pictured below), who played young Jessica on Netflix's Jessica Jones, and prolific TV actress Lyndsy Fonseca (pictured above), who has appeared in Nikita, How I Met Your Mother, and Agent Carter, as well as the KICK-ASS films.
Fonseca will play Juno Bradley, "a woman of science who is forced to come to terms with a new perspective on the world after she realizes she can no longer rely on facts alone. "
Cappuccino will play Hester Bradley, "Juno’s sister, [who] is searching for a purpose and determined not to miss out on the fun."
In The Haunted:
four siblings who reunite following their parents’ deaths. As they try to overcome their fractured personal relationships they find that they must also face the literal ghosts from their past in order to survive.
The pilot was written by Noga Landau (TAU), who will co-executive produce alongisde James Frey and Full Fathom Five's Todd Cohen.
