A week ago, we learned that the next social thriller from GET OUT writer/director Jordan Peele will be titled US and is scheduled for a March 15, 2019 release. We also heard that Lupita Nyong'o was in talks to star in the film, with Winston Duke and Elisabeth Moss in consideration for other roles.
Progress has been made in the last week: Nyong'o is now officially signed on to star in US. The actress confirmed this herself, taking to her social media accounts to post an updated version of the teaser art that has her name above the title.
The story of US is said to center on
two couples, one white, one black.
The characters played by Nyong'o and her BLACK PANTHER co-star Duke would be a couple, with Moss making up one half of the other pair. If deals are closed with Duke and Moss.
Peele is producing US through his company Monkeypaw Productions, along with Ian Cooper, Sean McKittrick, and Jason Blum. We'll keep you updated on the film as it continues to come together.
