Lupin Part 2 teaser trailer has Assane out for revenge

This article contains plot spoilers for Season 1 of Netflix's Lupin. Reader beware.

Hubert Pellegrini (Hervé Pierre) is about to learn that he should not have f*cked with Assane Diop (Omar Sy). I say this because Assane is out for revenge in the new teaser trailer for Netflix's Lupin Part 2. During the finale of Part 1, Pellegrini made a grave mistake by kidnapping Assane's son, Raoul (Etan Simon). Now Assane is looking to make him pay, and he'll use every last trick up his sleeve to do it if he has to.

Per Netflix, here's the official synopsis for Lupin Part 2:

Assane's quest for revenge against Hubert Pelligrini has torn his family to pieces. With his back to the wall, he now has to think of a new plan, even if it means putting himself in danger.

Pah! Do you think Assane Diop is afraid of a little danger? Think again. My man looks like a freight train in the new teaser, and all the plotting in the world won't make a lick of difference now that Raoul's life is on the line. Seriously,  Pelligrini (bark!), what were you thinking?

Joining Omar Sy for Lupin Part 2 are Hervé Pierre, Nicole Garcia, Clotilde Hesme, Ludivine Sagnier, Antoine Gouy, Shirine Boutella, and Soufiane Guerrab. Although the teaser doesn't say it, Lupin is slated to make its return to Netflix this summer. That gives you more than enough time to watch the first season if you haven't checked it out already. As you can probably tell, I greatly enjoyed Part 1 of the French-language mystery-thriller. Omar Sy is to die for in the role of Assane Diop, with his gentlemanly ways and ability to pull one trick after another out of his proverbial hat. I highly recommend it. With 63 million viewers tuning in for Lupin Part 1, I wouldn't be surprised if Part 2 nets even more. If it does, I'd love to see Netflix order another batch of episodes.
