Lulu Wilson is only 11 years old, but she's already an established genre star, having had roles in DELIVER US FROM EVIL and two prequels that got much better reviews than their predecessors, OUIJA: ORIGIN OF EVIL and ANNABELLE: CREATION (pictured above). Wilson will continue working in the horror genre for her next project, which will reunite her with her OUIJA director Mike Flanagan – she has signed on to take a role in Flanagan's 10 episode Netflix series adaptation of Shirley Jackson's 1959 novel The Haunting of Hill House.
As with most of the other characters on the show, no details were revealed about the character Wilson will be playing. Also joining the cast is newcomer Victoria Pedretti (pictured below), and no details were shared about her character, either.
Flanagan's The Haunting of Hill House is said to be a "modern reimagining" of Jackson's story. It centers on
four people living in an 80-year-old mansion.
The only character we know anything about is Michiel Huisman's Steven Crane,
the oldest Crane sibling and a published writer of supernatural books — including a memoir about his family's time living at Hill House.
In the cast with Wilson, Pedretti, and Huisman are Carla Gugino, Henry Thomas, Elizabeth Reaser, Kate Siegel, Timothy Hutton, and Oliver Jackson-Cohen.
The series is being produced by Paramount TV and Steven Spielberg's Amblin TV, with Flanagan, Trevor Macy, Justin Falvey, and Darryl Frank executive producing.
Jackson's novel previously served as the basis for the 1963 film THE HAUNTING and its 1999 remake. One of those is a classic, the other is about on the level of the OUIJA and ANNABELLE movies Lulu Wilson wasn't in… maybe even worse.
