Like it or lump it, Luke Evans is THE CROW. Around here at AITH, we love it! The guy is a natural badass who oozes charisma and we have no doubt he'll bring a unique and personal touch to the role of Eric Draven.
The folks over at Empire recently sat down with Evans at a FAST & FURIOUS 6 junket and asked him about the upcoming reboot, and here's what he had to say.
He certainly seems passionate about the role. And although filming on the reboot is still a bit off, hearing his enthusiasm for the part, the script and working with director F. Javier Gutierrez I can't help to be optimistic about the film.
Earlier this month we shared a statement from Evans about the role in which he said…
[The Crow] was a very poignant film from my childhood, which I remember vividly… The soundtrack, also. It was such a solid performance that Brandon Lee gave. It was a very tragic end for somebody that probably would have had a very promising career… I'm Eric Draven. I'm the same character. Obviously, he's been refreshed and brought up to date. We're reimagining it to a certain extent, but the story and the plot is mostly the same."
THE CROW will begin shooting next year.
