Fresh from reprising his role of "Blind Man" in the upcoming sequel to DON'T BREATHE (watch it HERE), Stephen Lang has signed on to star in director Lucky McKee's chamber thriller OLD MAN – where he'll be playing the title character.
The screenplay for OLD MAN has been written by Joel Veach, who also wrote the story as a play that's being workshopped at the Actor's Studio in New York.
Marc Senter of STARRY EYES (watch it HERE) is joining Lang in the film's cast. The story follows
a lost hiker (Senter) who stumbles upon the cabin of an erratic and reclusive Old Man (Lang). What starts off as cordial conversation soon turns dangerous as it becomes clear that one or both of them might be hiding a terrifying secret.
OLD MAN is being produced by Aaron B. Koontz, Ashleigh Snead, and Cameron Burns of Paper Street Pictures. David Guglielmo serves as associate producer.
McKee says,
Joel's script is a horrific and poignant plunge into madness and Lang and Senter are going to devour it. It's been beautiful to watch such a strong team form around us."
Filming is expected to take place in upstate New York, starting in January.
McKee's previous credits include MAY (watch it HERE) and THE WOMAN (watch that one HERE), and I'll watch anything he makes, so OLD MAN is already on my "must see" list.
