Lucasfilm to release all Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga films in 4K

Today's a very fine day to be a Star Wars fan! Not long after Lucasfilm and Disney announced the home release details for STAR WARS: THE RISE OF SKYWALKER, it's been confirmed that eight films belonging to The Skywalker Saga will soon be released in 4K UHD for the first time!

Here's the official announcement from StarWars.com:

And on March 31, coinciding with the physical release of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, eight Star Wars films are being released on 4K UHD for the first time: Star Wars: The Phantom Menace, Star Wars: Attack of the Clones, Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith, Star Wars: A New Hope, Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back, Star Wars: Return of the Jedi, Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.

As your attorney I advise you strap on your most absorbent bib, because the below image is bound to get your drool flowing like so much Blue milk from a female bantha's mammary glands!

Holy Babu Frik! Is that set not the most gorgeous collection in this or any galaxy? I've a feeling that Star Wars fans are going to be all too eager to fork over a hefty amount of their hard-eraned credits to own this beauty.

For the moment, Disney's streaming service, Disney+, is the only way that fans can enjoy the above mentioned films in beautiful 4K UHD retoration. With that in mind, the studio releasing a collection of this magnitude is a very big deal. To be clear, the 4K versions of the original trilogy will be the same ones available to stream on Disney+, not the first cuts that fans have been clamoring for.

So, who among you is ready to travel through a galaxy far, far away in 4K UHD when The Skywalker Saga 4K Collection arrives on our planet Earth? Let us know if you'll be throwing down in the comments section below!
