One of the most anticipated non-blockbusters of the fall season is easily Luca Guadagnino’s SUSPIRIA remake. The early footage left people in shock at CinemaCon, and now with the new trailer for the movie we are getting that much better a taste of what left their jaws dropped. The footage starts on an eerie note before going full nightmare, with ghastly images that tease a horror experience that will leave audiences shook.
The trailer reveals more of the twisted story, showing Chloe Grace Moretz's character and digging deep into the demonic goings-on at the dance company, of which Dakota Johnson has just joined. We also see the heads of the dance company, including Tilda Swinton who looks very much like a witch here, so there's ample reason to believe she's up to some crazy stuff. The movie looks visually stunning (cinematography by Sayombhu Mukdeeprom) and absolutely horrifying, and I can only imagine that we will soon get an even worse, more unnerving red-band trailer at some point.
Here is the plot synopsis:
As a darkness builds at the center of a world-renown dance company, its artistic director (Swinton), a young American new to the troupe (Johnson), and a grieving psychotherapist (Ebersdorf) become entangled in a bloody, sighing nightmare.
SUSPIRIA hits theaters November 2.
