Lowlife director teams with David S. Goyer for Night Patrol

Having made his feature directorial debut with the terrific, PULP FICTION-esque crime thriller LOWLIFE (you can read my 8/10 review HERE), Ryan Prows is now moving forward with this second feature, a "high concept genre film" titled NIGHT PATROL

And it has nothing to do with the 1984 film of the same title, which starred Linda Blair and The Unknown Comic.

Prow's NIGHT PATROL is being financed by Entertainment One, with David S. Goyer and Keith Levine producing. Josh Clay Phillips is overseeing the project for eOne.

Prows wrote the screenplay with his LOWLIFE co-writers Shaye Ogbonna, Tim Cairo, and Jake Gibson. The film will center on

an African-American LAPD officer who must put aside his differences with the area’s street gangs when he discovers a local police task force is harboring a horrific secret that endangers the residents of the housing projects he grew up in.

LOWLIFE established Prows as a filmmaker to keep an eye on, so I will be tracking the progress of NIGHT PATROL closely. The synopsis has me very intrigued; I'm looking forward to finding out what the "horrific secret" at the center of the story is.

We'll keep you updated on NIGHT PATROL as more is revealed.
