Lovecraft/Tesla team-up comic Herald is getting a TV adaptation

Given the popularity of historical figures H.P. Lovecraft and Nikola Tesla in certain circles, creating the comic book HERALD was really a genius move on the behalf of writer John Reilly and artists Tom Rogers and Dexter Weeks.

The book's set-up:

When Nikola Tesla's fiancée, Amelia Earhart, steals a dangerous prototype engine for a trans-Atlantic flight, Tesla seeks out the interdimensional expertise of H.P. Lovecraft to save her. Lovecraft, however, has problems of his own as he investigates the identity of Cthulhu's Herald.

Once Lovecraft and Tesla have joined forces, they find themselves battling "ancient gods, secret societies, strange technologies, and other historical villains like Aleister Crowley and Thomas Edison."

HERALD is such a smart idea that, just seven months after the first issue hit the stands, the rights to adapt the Action Lab Entertainment comic into a television series have been picked up by Romark Entertainment and Markerstone Pictures. Newcomer Jared Battaglia has been given the task of handling the adaptation.

Watching Lovecraft and Tesla fight monsters every week sounds like fun to me. If HERALD does end up going to series, it's definitely a show I would check out.
